We got married in August 1998. We worked, traveled, moved a few times and had our first daughter, Lauren. We adopted our second daughter, Carmen, from Guatemala in 2007. When Carmen was one year old, she was diagnosed with Tay Sachs, AB Variant, a degenerative, fatal, neurological disease.
We started this blog to keep our family and friends updated on Carmen’s condition. But this site has turned into much more than we imagined. Through it, we have met wonderful new friends and kept in touch with old ones.
In 2010, our daughter Hope was born. Later that same year, Carmen went to Heaven.
Throughout our three year journey with Carmen, we held onto the anchor of Jesus Christ. It wasn’t easy. It wasn’t pain free. But, it was faith building and rewarding in so many ways.
Thank you for your love, support and prayers. Thank you for stopping by!
