Something Beautiful

During the past three years, we have received the gift of pictures from Rashmi, Melanie, Sarah and Beth. These photographers have blessed us with amazing pictures of our family. We will forever have beautiful pictures of Carmen. Thank you ladies!

Last year Rashmi took pictures of our family. Like she always does, Rashmi captured something beautiful. Thank you.

The Skies Proclaim the Work of His Hands

As most of you know, I recently returned from a two week trip to California. Sandwiched between my two weeks of work, I was able to get away for the weekend. I drove about two and a half hours from San Diego to Joshua Tree National Park. I spent all day Saturday and part of Sunday in the park, mostly filming but also taking a few photos and enjoying solitude as well as the sounds and scenes in nature.

The park is beautiful. Strange. Underwhelming at first (at least it is from the 29 Palms entrance). Yet remarkable and beautiful.

I’m working on a video now but thought I’d share my favorite photo from the weekend. The nighttime sky was simply stunning and this photo doesn’t come remotely close to doing it justice!

Good Morning to You!

We hope your morning is as full of sunshine as ours! :)

Today is the big day for Dave’s two brothers. Dave’s younger brother, Steve, is donating a kidney to Dave’s older brother, Wes. They are in surgery now. Please pray that all goes well with both surgeries, recoveries, and that Wes’s body accepts the new kidney.

The Graduate

Dave has continued the sorting/throwing out/packing up that my mom and I started. He found my high school graduation hat (what do you call that thing?). Lauren excitedly wore it around the house. I told her she could keep it in her dress up box. A little while later, I found Carmen like this:
