We’ve spent the past two weeks in upstate New York. We are flying home today. While we’ve had a wonderful vacation, we are thoroughly looking forward to sunshine and t-shirts and flip-flops! I think we are getting spoiled.
Goodbye upstate NY. You are always lovely.

Hope you had a safe flight. It was close to 70 here in NJ today. I actually thought about breaking out my flip flops to run errands. Love the picture.
Nice! I love sunshine!
Dave took the picture…as a test shot. It was the only picture of the view we took though so I had some fun with it.
FYI – - – just a little point
we live in CENTRAL NY – - upstate is the Adirondack Mountains
Loved having you here – can’t wait to see you again.
Ah, good to know! I thought that anything north of NYC is considered upstate. I guess I shall have to start telling everyone that you guys live in central NY not upstate!
If you live outside the metropolitan (NYC) / Long Island area, you are considered an “upstater” (I came from there so I know this
) However, now that I live “upstate” I realize that I really live in central NY and the “real” upstate is north of the Mohawk River/ NYS Thruway (I-90).
Hope that helps those of you who think that NY is all one big city with an island attached
Correction to my first sentence – - you are considered an “upstater” ONLY by people from NYC and Long Island – - I laugh when I hear people talk about Rockland County (where I grew up) as “upstate” – - it is, actually part of the suburbs of NYC.
the picture is beautiful – glad that y’all had a nice trip. I’ve missed you blogging!
