A Stack of Something

This morning Dave handed me a box to sort through. Inside I found a large stack of something.

I thought we were done sorting the haven’t-used-in-13-years stuff but apparently we missed this last box.

Napkins from our wedding reception. So, for the next few weeks, we will be using up these napkins. :)

A Royal Morning

This morning I woke Lauren bright and early to watch the Royal Wedding. Hope woke up soon after and joined us.

Lauren was most impressed with the hats of all sizes and varieties.

I pointed out various people: the Queen, Sir Elton John, the bride’s mom, etc. Lauren asked, “Who is the lady wearing a chandelier on her head?”

Lauren will be tired today (sorry Mrs. Woolwine!) but we didn’t want to miss the wedding of the century!

Congratulations to William and Kate. :)

And now it is NAP time!

Did you watch?

Testimonies

This morning I shared Carmen’s story with my MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group.

Afterward I thought to myself that testimonies are often painful. Seems that we as humans are most impacted by hearing stories of trials, pain and suffering.

Dave’s brother, Wes, is in the midst of a very difficult trial. You may remember last year when Dave’s younger brother, Steve, donated his kidney to Wes. A few days later the transplant failed.

Wes wrote a blog post last night about his current situation. Click here for the update.

Please keep Wes and his wife and kids in your prayers.

Butterflies For Carmen

Whenever I see butterflies, I think of Carmen. She has left her cocoon and is now living in her glorious, perfect body.

While at the Wild Animal Park in Escondido, CA, we went to the Butterfly House.

This was an instant before poor Hope burst into tears. The creepy-crawly butterfly scared her half to death!

We had our own butterfly for the day.

Lauren wore her face paint on the flight home. She would still have it on (smudged and all) if we hadn’t insisted she wash before going to church for an Easter presentation!

Tomorrow I am telling Carmen’s story at my MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meeting. I would greatly appreciate your prayers that I will 1) make it through my presentation and 2) glorify God with Carmen’s story.

More About You Mondays

[This post is part of an ongoing blog series to get to know each other better. Have you read and participated in the other "More About You Monday" questions?]

We are TIRED.

One child has adjusted back to east coast time and one hasn’t. So, one is going to bed really late and the other is getting up really early!

Dave is on his way back to California for a business trip.

I could sleep for a week!

So, today’s More About You Monday question is really deep. Put on your theological hats.
