Letter to Carmen

Carmen did OK last night. We shall see how she does today. Thank you for your prayers.

***

When Carmen was younger, she had a babysitter named Tina. Tina is an amazing young woman! On numerous occasions, Lana and I have said that we would love for our daughters to turn out like her when they are older.

Several months ago, we received a letter from Tina. Shortly after she sent her letter, I asked Tina if she would record herself reading it and then send it to be included in a short video.

Thanks Tina!

I think Tina speaks for many of us. She certainly speaks for me, yet much more eloquently than I ever could.

What a beautiful post today! Wow!

We are from the Ellwood City, PA, area, in Western PA.
One of my best friends, Kathy Gordon, is giving her sister, Jodi, one of her kidneys at this very moment. A few years ago, Jodi actually had a heart transplant, and has done well, but the recovery from that transplant destroyed her kidneys. I’m not sure of Jodi’s last name. She is in her 40s.
    Thank you for your prayers…

I apologize for my post being inappropriate under the comments due to this amazing post. But I was hoping that you all would pray for Kathy and Jodi, because you would understand…

Your post was absolutely NOT inappropriate – - it is, in fact, very appropriate that you ask for prayer for someone. Dave and Lana’s prayer has been that this site would be more than just updates about Carmen and our family. Thank you for sharing with us – and, PLEASE, keep us updated about Jodi.

So true. It’s amazing how many lives Carmen has touched! Don’t you love how God works? I miss Baby Ry every day, but am so thankful we were blessed with the gift of loving and caring for him. They are so perfect; we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. My heart is with you.
