Carmen did OK last night. We shall see how she does today. Thank you for your prayers.

When Carmen was younger, she had a babysitter named Tina. Tina is an amazing young woman! On numerous occasions, Lana and I have said that we would love for our daughters to turn out like her when they are older.
Several months ago, we received a letter from Tina. Shortly after she sent her letter, I asked Tina if she would record herself reading it and then send it to be included in a short video.
Thanks Tina!
Wow Tina, That is beautiful. You have spoke my heart as well. I love you Carmen
I think Tina speaks for many of us. She certainly speaks for me, yet much more eloquently than I ever could.
What a beautiful post today! Wow!
We are from the Ellwood City, PA, area, in Western PA.
One of my best friends, Kathy Gordon, is giving her sister, Jodi, one of her kidneys at this very moment. A few years ago, Jodi actually had a heart transplant, and has done well, but the recovery from that transplant destroyed her kidneys. I’m not sure of Jodi’s last name. She is in her 40s.
Thank you for your prayers…
I apologize for my post being inappropriate under the comments due to this amazing post. But I was hoping that you all would pray for Kathy and Jodi, because you would understand…
Jodi Minteer…
Hi Sandi, we will be praying for your best friend and Jodi.
Thanks! And I am constantly thinking about Carmen and all of you…
Thanks Sandi. We’ll be praying.
Thanks so much for the prayers! Kathy’s kidney began working immediately in Jodi, and they both feel good today! We are praising God for this!!! Thanks so much! Keep the prayers coming!
We continue to pray for you all and dear Carmen….
Your post was absolutely NOT inappropriate – - it is, in fact, very appropriate that you ask for prayer for someone. Dave and Lana’s prayer has been that this site would be more than just updates about Carmen and our family. Thank you for sharing with us – and, PLEASE, keep us updated about Jodi.
Thanks so very much! I love this site and being such a close part of it! I would love to meet everyone!
Me too, Sandi. And, with God all things are possible….
AMEN!
Awesome tribute to Carmen and more to our Great God!

What a BEAUTIFUL tribute to a beatiful girl. Your love and support and strong faith in God and taught me more than words will ever be able to express. Thank you…
Carmen, When I get to heaven, I’m looking forward to meeting you, and I feel sure that you will have met my daughter, Abby, by then. And when I greet you, we will feel like family…
Wow! This is one of the most powerful, moving things I have ever viewed. I got goosebumps AND tears in my eyes…
Tina, you did a beautiful job with this – it couldn’t have been easy. Thank you for saying in your words exactly how I, Becky, feel about Carmen, too. Thank you Carmen for being you! I love you and I’m praying for you.
Dave, may I share this link via Twitter and elsewhere?
Love you all,
Becky
Thanks Becky. Didn’t Tina do an amazing job?
Please feel free to share the video however you want.
Amazing…tears here too…she spoke wonderfully…thanks for sharing
Yes, that was truly a Love Letter to Carmen and to God!
Thank you so much for sharing and Tina, I know exactly how you feel. I was Isaiah’s caretaker. We are the Blessed Ones!
Love, Janet
“We are the Blessed Ones!”
Indeed we are. Indeed we are. Thanks for the reminder.
Exactly! Praising God for blessing us as a “family”.
Keeping you all in my prayers. WOW!! What a beautiful letter to your Beautiful Sweet Carmen.
So true. It’s amazing how many lives Carmen has touched! Don’t you love how God works? I miss Baby Ry every day, but am so thankful we were blessed with the gift of loving and caring for him. They are so perfect; we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. My heart is with you.
We’re still praying for Carmen and your family.
That was an incredibly beautiful post. I am so glad you shared it and thank you Tina for expressing what so many of us feel.
It is an honor to “know” Carmen and I thank you so much for sharing her with us.
Debbie
praying for you all from afar!
