Laptop Lunchbox

My darling daughter, Lauren, is a very picky particular eater. She is very specific about what she likes and what she doesn’t like. And woe unto anyone who fixes her plate of food and has things touching. (Right, NY Grandma? BBQ sauce on top of chicken is not acceptable!)

Laptop Lunches makes a really neat lunchbox system that works great forĀ particular kiddos. Actually, it works great for most everyone because it’s just plain fun!

Laptop Lunchbox

The Laptop Lunchbox holds quite a bit of food. Here is Lauren’s lunch: Raisin bread and cream cheese sandwich, carrots, strawberries, animal crackers and m&ms, and a cheese stick. The large purple container and the mini purple container come with lids. Laptop Lunches now makes extra containers that all have lids.

The Laptop Lunchbox can simply be closed and carried or placed inside another bag. Lauren has an L.L.Bean critter lunchbox that perfectly holds her Laptop Lunchbox and Funtainer thermos. Laptop Lunches sells an insulated food carrier bag specifically for the Laptop Lunchbox but I thought Lauren might like a kid-looking bag better.

Well, there you have it! Amazon has good prices so just do a search for laptop lunch. I’m not getting anything for “advertising” the Laptop Lunchbox. I just like telling everyone about good products. Lauren loves her lunchbox and so do I!

Oh, I can’t wait to look this up. My daughter is a middle school teacher and my grandson is ending 4th grade. I work in a school, also. Ah ha…. Christmas presents galore… thank you, Lana, for this exciting information…. Blessings to you all….

Isabella loves her Laptop Lunchbox too!! I love that the plastics are safer. I also cut her rarely approved cheese sandwich with tiny cookie cutters (Pampered Chef http://www.pamperedchef.com/ordering/prod_details.tpc?prodId=6974&catId=122&parentCatId=122&outletSubCat=&viewAllOutlet= ), or bigger, seasonal cookie cutters, another little surprise when she opens it at lunch. Thank you for sharing with us, Lana!!

Oh thank you, thank you, thank you! My oldest three have divided plates with covers that are showing quite a bit of wear and tear. I cannot find replacement plates. Now, I don’t think I need to. We have LL bean lunch boxes too. This is perfect! Thanks again.

AHA! Finally someone I KNOW who has one of these — I’ve seen them on blogs for a long time but never a “real person” before! :)

My big question: can Lauren OPEN everything herself at lunchtime? Sometimes plastic container lids are really hard for little fingers; even the easy-open things I’ve bought are apparently too much for Emily, and that tiny container looks like it would be a challenge. Also, how has Lauren’s lunchbox survived the wear and tear of daily use?

p.s. Please feel free to share other lunches you have made for your picky -particular- eater. :) I’m always looking for ideas for mine, too! Thank you!

Hi Amanda! Lauren can open the containers. We practiced at home before she took it to school. However, I do know that she likes to raise her hand and have the lunchroom helper do things for her so I am unsure of what she does at school! The lunchbox is in perfect condition after use this year. Lauren rotates between the lunchbox and Little Mermaid Tupperware lunch stuff, about 50/50. So far so good!

Oh, I need to add that the biggest drawback, in my opinion, is that the Laptop Lunchbox is heavy. Not a deal breaker for us but when I put it in Lauren’s backpack with her folder, library book, glasses case, extra sweater, etc., it is heavy. Doesn’t seem to bother Lauren though.

Boy Lauren, what a lunch! I used to get a butter and bannana sandwich in a brown bag…Do you know what bannana’s look like after 4 hrs. in a bag. Not pretty HAHA! And ask your mom about those strawberries, I’m jealous. Give Carmen a snuggle for me. Love you all, Joe

Joe, Lauren does know what cut up bananas look like after 4 hours in a bag! She informed me to please not ever send cut up banana to school again! LOL!

Need to add…Joe, you too can get beautiful strawberries…at the GROCERY STORE! Ha!
Could you shoot those deer with a paintball gun?!

I love this! Now I know what to get for my daughter who starts kindergarten in the fall. Guess I’ll have to get 2 of them so my 3-yr-old doesn’t feel left out. Also, the lunch you made Lauren is beautiful – colorful, kid-appealing, and wholesome! :-)
