Resurrection

Short film by Rob Bell.

Happy Easter!

After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see…” (Book of Matthew)

Eggs Without the Cholesterol

Yesterday, Monica the Magnificent and Lauren made paper mache eggs for an Easter craft. Monica brought over cardboard eggs, tissue paper, and glue. Lauren managed to make her eggs without getting any glue on her hands. She asked Monica to do all the messy smearing!

Here are some pictures.

Eggs in bowl

This egg project reminded me of a decorated egg my dad made when I was in second grade. He drained the egg and drew a bunny and flowers (I think…he might remember better). He let me take the egg to school for show and tell. The teacher almost passed out when she saw me holding this incredibly fragile work of art. I don’t know what happened to the egg and I don’t think anyone took a picture. But, it was beautiful.

I’m really excited about Easter this year. Texas Grandma (my mom) will be here! This is the first time my mom will meet Hope. We will be going to our church’s Easter play on Sunday morning. I’ve got Easter dinner all planned: brown sugar pineapple ham, au gratin potatoes, asparagus, corn, crescent rolls and fruit salad.
