True Beauty…Just the Way She Is

God will heal Carmen. I am 100% sure of that. The moment she enters Heaven, she will have a perfect body. I think we often focus so much on earthly healing and forget that this life is just a moment. Carmen has eternity in front of her. She is going to leave this messed-up world and enter perfect Heaven. And that’s OK. In fact, it’s more than OK. It’s a blessing in her life.

Until that time, I am convinced that God gets great pleasure out of Carmen’s little life and that He sees her as truly beautiful, just the way she is.

A recent picture Dave took of Carmen, with the light streaming from the window.

That is a beautiful picture. Last night I watched a video of Vince Gill singing “Rest high on that mountain” and I think of all the people that have died since I come on the computer and those like Carmen who will die far too soon for us and it makes me sad but also some peace. Just as this life of trouble is real so is eternity of complete comfort and peace for all of us with a choice who come to accept that the baby whose birth we celebrate in a few weeks is real, his sacrifice real, and the fact that he is “True God from True God, begotton not made”. “The Word who became flesh” to die for our sins. I stress to all who read this remember this baby became the “Man of sorrows” and give thanks and praise to Jesus our Lord and Saviour. Hope this is not to preachy, just what I think on. God bless you each. In Christ, Joe

This is such a beautiful picture and Carmen looks so peaceful. After reading your post I can’t help but think of a song I just heard recently by Carrie Underwood, “Temporary Home”. The chorus reads like this,
    “This is my temporary Home
    It’s not where I belong
Windows and rooms that I’m passin’ through
This was just a stop,on the way To where I’m going
I’m not afraid because I know this is
    My temporary home.”

I think this may be one of the most beautiful Carmen pictures I have ever seen. She reminds me of one of my students in this picture. So peaceful and “in the know”. Thank you for sharing.
