Dave is home from the Catalyst Conference and I’m sure he will have some great posts about all the amazing speakers! We are so glad to have him home but he is heading to North Carolina for work this week. Thankfully, it is just for a day.
Since Dave has been so busy, he hasn’t finished the video of Carmen pictures. Sooooo, if you still want to submit a picture of Carmen’s name for the Carmen contest, email it to Dave!
Carmen seems to be brewing something. No fever but she is coughing up thick yellow mucus. She has such a weak cough that she cannot cough up much but anything that does come out is good. We have been doing extra Vest treatments to jiggle the mucus out of her and also positioning her so that the stuff can drool out.
Tomorrow our insurance company is having a meeting to discuss more nursing hours for Carmen. Please, please pray that they will say yes to the request for more hours and we can get more help for Carmen during the day!
Little Levi is now home from the hospital! Turns out he did not have a deep tissue infection. Thanks for your prayers for my friend and her baby boy!

I have been trying to take pictures of all of Nurse Ruthann’s fancy hairdos for Carmen. As I was taking pictures of her hair today, Carmen gave a big yawn. When Carmen yawns, she lets out a huge sigh. I just love to hear her “voice.” I don’t think we have a picture of Carmen yawning, so I was happy to get this picture!
After this picture, I put Carmen in the LoveSac and took a little nap with her. Precious moments.

I know what you mean….. just beautiful. I guess it’s only been two months, but I miss Baby Ry even more now. We “catch” each other kissing a photo of him. lol … Napping with Carmen is the best….. I used to put Burts Bee chapstick on both of us (no petroleum) and then we’d take a nap. Did anyone tell you not to use products made with petroleum …..with oxygen? You may have to ask Dave about that one – don’t think the risk is too high, but you may want to ask. You guys are doing a terrific job – Lauren too! xo
Only God can do the miracles as witnessed in Baby Levi. Always amazing to see. Hallelujah!!
Nurse Ruthann must have such joy with Carmen. Finding ways to play with her. God’s hands…..
Betty – - What in the world are you doing up at 2:37 am???? Women our age need their SLEEP!!
I am betting you were praying – - – - hope I was on your list
I’m about ready to sleep now. But each time my head bobbs it hits the keyboard. And, then people send checks to me and ask to have them cashed…..
Yep, you’re always on MY LIST!!!
So sweet. What a wonderful picture.
Continuing to pray for Carmen and her beautiful family.
Debbie
