Who’s Your Favorite? Piglet? Eeyore? Tigger? Pooh?

One of my goals for the two weeks that Lauren is in New York with her grandparents is to finish sorting, cropping and fixing pictures for Carmen’s slideshow. I was supposed to have all of this done before her third birthday but obviously I didn’t get that done! So, for the past week, I have been looking through pictures.

Today I found pictures from Disney World. We went for one day in March 2008, after the Tay Sachs conference weekend. We ate lunch at the Crystal Palace and got to meet the Winnie the Pooh characters.

Isn’t Piglet cute!?

Poor Eeyore, always sad.

Do I really have to pick just one??? I love the Winnie the Pooh characters! I even have a Tigger tattoo. My dad always called my brother Kevin so I got a memorial Tigger tatto. But Pooh speaks to my heart. Here are some great Winnie the Pooh quotes:

    This is my favorite:
If ever there is tomorrow when we’re not together. There is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart… I’ll always be with you.

Well, I’ve always had a soft spot for Eeyore. When we adopted our dog Lyle, silly big black cocker scared of his shadow, I said that if we were naming him I’d name him Eeyore. The vet talked to me about him being depressed before he got to know him. He was one mixed up dude when we got him…..and he’s still pretty goofy. When my almost granddaughter, Amanda (started coming to my house for day care when she was 8 wks. old and is still here today going into 8th grade!!) was little she used to call him Or-ey. Of course, it went with piddet and pooh. Memories are wonderful, aren’t they.
I believe the picture I like best is with Piglet–Lauren just looks so proud!
Hope you have a good day….good luck with the sorting!
When Beth and Anna made the video for Isaiah’s service, it locked up computer after computer. Finally, we had to have a techie hook up two hard drives to get all the pictures on to one cd!
Sending Love and Prayers to all of you, and Kisses to Carmen. Janet

Well, we all love Pooh and friends around here. I must say I really like Pooh best, but Tony likes Tigger. But we’ll take any of them honestly. Of course, I must say, I’m a classic pooh lover more than the new Disney pooh

It’s Tigger in my heart. If not for Tigger, there would be too much calmness and logical thinking. Because of Tigger, there’s wonderment and vitality. Piglet is so cute, Eyeore is foundational, Pooh is the greatness of hugs and love. Tigger is spontaneity, pick yourself uppity & try again-ity. Tigger is the amazement of answered prayers. Love and TTFN.

That’s kinda like asking me which of my children is my favorite. Each has their own special strengths and characteristics. Lana is the one with wisdom and compassion, Jay is the intelligent and creative one, Kevin is the friendly and giving one, and Micah is the thoughtful and sensitive one. I love and admire each one and I also choose Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore.

Betty, I liked your response. You sound like a very fun person.

And Trish, I agree, I’m also a classic Pooh fan.

I’m not a big fan of labels but Lana is also the pretty one. And all of your children are intelligent in different ways.

I absolutely agree with you. I actually thought as I wrote their characteristics that they all have all of them to some degree but those were the ones that stood out to me for each one. Sorry that I forgot that Lana is the pretty one!

My favorite is Darby because she thinks I’m hot! When we were at Disney World, Darby kept pointing at me and giving me two thumbs up. Lana says that Darby was pointing at my UNC Tar Teels t-shirt but I’m not so sure…

    Hee, hee, hee!

Mine and Anna’s favorite is Tigger! I love his happy attitude and Anna loves him because he BOUNCES. Anna loves to bounce too. :)
