Meet the Baby
Carmen update: Carmen had a fever this morning and congestion all day. She is comfortably sleeping now so hopefully tomorrow will be better.
I went in for my 12 week ultrasound today. Everything looks good! Baby sat perfectly still while they measured and then started jumping around when they tried to look at his/her hands and feet. Every time I see the doctor, they decide I am further along than I thought. If I keep going to the doctor, I may be due next month! Ha, ha! As of today I am 12 weeks and 6 days. I am going to keep my February 7, 2009 due date (the second due date I was given) because I can remember it!
I am still nauseous and throwing up but I am beginning to feel a wee bit better. I am HAPPY about that!

I’m so glad everything is going well with the baby. I pray that your sickness will end soon. If I remember correctly, it took longer than 12 weeks to start feeling better. I think it was more like 14-16 weeks.

Praise God that things are going good (except the nausea of course!)!! The picture is amazing! Listen to Lauren about it being a boy, somehow kids know these things! Again, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Keeping you all in my prayers, Rikki.

My stepson Christian said the exact same thing about our twins looking like boys due to the fact they had no hair! When we determined they were boys, he said “I knew it!!!!!1″ Oh how cute are 5 year olds! I hope you and Carmen start to feel better! So happy for you all!

Wow, look at the baby, that’s a really good picture too. I would get some when I was pregnant with Layla and Mark would ask, “What exactly am I looking at here”? lol I’m happy to hear that you are feeling a wee bit better…hopefully the further along you get the better you will feel. That’s how my pregnancies were. I am so happy for you and your family Lana. I will be praying for yall.
I just showed Samaiah the picture and told her you were having a baby, Lauren was going to have another brother or sister and she was going to have a new cousin.
She jumped up and down in excitement and said….

What an awesome picture! I asked Katia to look and guess whether it was a boy or a girl and she said “I don’t know because the baby doesn’t have any hair yet!” They all think alike!
Well, I am glad you are feeling better, but nausea is a great reminder that a life is growing inside you! What an awesome miracle!
