Wow! That looks delicious!! My mother and Oma were the queens of German Potato Salad. I try, but it's just not quite the same. I'll be giving the Russian style a try real soon and let you know how it turns out!
I loved the picture of you and Carmen, too. It was beautiful!!
Hope you're having a good day....we're getting ready for more storms in KC this afternoon!
Love, Janet

Lana
Your Dad prefers potato salad the way your Nana made it! Your great Aunt Betty made a dish pan- size bowl of the famous potato salad when we were there for Memorial weekend.

Awhile ago, you asked how people like their cornbread. Your Dad likes it thick, salty with lots of butter. So even though I prefer my cornbread thin and crusty, I make it thick. The church friends who came to Sunday lunch(5-31-09) were from Minnesota, South Carolina and Nigeria. They ate whatever was served and showed gratitude. Of course, they are coming again for another Sunday where love and fellowship take precedent over the food. Your Dad is sending photos of Ivan, 5 yrs. old and Abigail 3 yrs. old. Yes, they are our grandchildren from Nigeria.

Please give hugs and kisses to Lauren and Carmen and of course to Dave.
