I picked up Pamela Reeve’s Faith Is book last night and this quote stood out to me:
Faith is….thanking God when I am left with shattered plans, that He has better plans.”
I heard Pamela Reeve speak several times at Pine Cove family camp in Tyler, Tx. Thought you might like to know the story behind “Faith Is…”
She had worked on a book called “Relationships” for a very long time and it sold about 10,000 copies. Then one Christmas Eve she realized that she had forgotten to get a gift for a friend. Since she didn’t want to go out in the bad weather and traffic, she sat down and wrote, hand-lettered, and bound the little book “Faith Is…” Her friend and other friends were so impressed that they talked her into getting it published. It sold millions. She said that we can work so hard to accomplish something and have little success, but God can take such a small thing and bring about much success and blessing.
Lana, Did you get the original hand-lettered one or the later larger one?
Not the original hand-lettered one, the later one. I was over at a friend’s house and saw the hand-lettered one on her shelf. This is a great book.
