Kara, we had 2 degrees below 0 this week for cold - - we live on a ridge and the wind does blow!! If we go north into the Mohawk River valley, there is completly different weather. And - - if you really want to see some beautiful views - you should see the sunsets and sunrises we are gifted with - right out of a picture book! God has blessed us with a fantastic spot in central New York - - but, with it comes hurricane style winds (most recent loss was of a 24 foot heavy duty "portable" shed that lasted less than a week - the wind took it, frame and all!!), lots of snow drifts, and the smell of slurry (farm country!)! That isn’t even a really good picture of the view from our living room – - on a clear day the lake view is awesome!!
