Bless This Child

Carmen’s Hospice nurse, Leslie, gave me a decorative plate for Christmas. I cannot think of a gift with a more perfect message.

To Carmen:

“Lord, look down from heaven above and touch this special child with love. Protect and guide this little one, until each and every day is done. Remind us often that it’s true: This little life is a gift from you. A miracle you’ve sent our way, Lord bless this little child today.”

What a wonderful day. You may have noticed that I’m a little shy. But, you folks just broke that barrier. The best part is that I felt like I was meeting celebrities, right off the Blog. Thank you, so much, for stopping by. Next time we’ll do longer. Your mom and dad/grandma and grandpa are super friends. Blessings and Love to you all.

    Betty,

Us? Celebrities? Ha! That’s too funny.

It was an absolute pleasure meeting you, Betty. You are right! Next time we will have to visit longer. Lana and I talked about bringing our camera to take your picture and post on our blog “wall of fame”. But we didn’t want to embarrass you.

Thank you for your consistent encouragement.

Thanks Sarah M. and Martina. We did enjoy a wonderful Christmas! We are now at my parents’ house in NY for a few days. We weren’t sure how it would go but we are surviving and enjoying some snow. Carmen is a bit out of sorts but is doing OK. Lauren is having a blast…and that’s the main reason we made the short trip up here.

You may never know how grateful we are for YOU!

    Thank you!
