I thought I was the only one in the world who would actually pray for a beautiful daughter. I was worried about the same things you were. God answered my prayer and he definately answered yours as well. Carmen is just so beautiful. I love the picture of her in the oversized bean bag chair. She looks SO peaceful and content. And loved very much. Thank you for answering Gods call to be her parents and to love her with all your might. Oh my, I am just cracking up. If all the kids are going to have a common physical feature, I can't think of a better one! Carmen has the added benefit of having black lashes. Her eyes are so black that we cannot see the pupils. Sometimes I look at Carmen and think, "Wow, I wish you were going to grow up. You would have been one beautiful young lady." This is going to sound TOTALLY vain but before we got Carmen's referral, I prayed that she would be beautiful. Being raised in an all white family would have had its challenges for Carmen so I figured that if she was beautiful, it would be easier for her. God sure answered that prayer as Carmen IS beautiful. (I feel I can say that because obviously she did not get one speck of that beauty from me!)
