Molly, Riley, Elijah and Nina

On Friday, Molly Grace celebrated her 5th birthday! Molly has Tay Sachs and you can read more about this beautiful little girl here, http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/mollygrace.

On Saturday, Riley celebrated her 6th birthday! Riley has Sandhoff, a similar disease to Tay Sachs. You can read more about cutie-pie Princess Riley Bear here, http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/princessrileybear.

Both of these amazing little girls have equally amazing parents. We met Riley at the last NTSAD family conference and hope to see Riley and meet Molly at the next conference. Happy, happy birthday to Molly and Riley!

Big congratulations to Dave’s sister, Trish and her husband, Tony. A week ago, Elijah joined their family. Elijah is an adorable almost 3 year old who was in foster care. Elijah joins big sister Samaiah. Congratulations!!!

Lauren and I had the following conversation today:

Lauren: I want my name to be Nina.

Me: Why?

Lauren: I don’t like the name Lauren. I want you to call me Nina.

Me: Ok, I’ll start calling you Nina.

Lauren: No, I want you to change my name to Nina. My teacher at school calls me Lauren. We have to change my name to Nina so she will call me Nina.

Me: Lauren is a beautiful name!

Lauren: I DON’T like it!

So, here’s a picture of Nina, aka Lauren, with her purple Disney princess Jasmine glasses.

God Bless, Nina (Lauren). At our bible study I have expressed the desire that my name be LISA when I get to Heaven. Now, I am absolutely sure that the name the Lord has written in the Book of Life is the best name ever for me. On this side of Heaven, I’m choosing Lisa. And, that looks just like the perfect smile of a NINA to me. Nina and Carmen…. God’s Treasures.

Dearest Lauren, I mean Nina! I thought I’d let you know that your cousin also wants a new name. A few weeks ago Samaiah introduced herself to someone and told them her name was Coconut Grace! She wants to be called Coconut! Her Papa Crawfurd thinks it’s quite funny and every time he calls he asks for Coconut Grace! She will probably never live it down.

Oh, and just to let your Mama know it must run in the family…for years I wanted to be named Marybeth! I asked everyone to call me Marybeth.

I love the new princess glasses. You look beautiful my darling.

Give hugs to your Mama, Daddy and Sister for me.

Love, Aunt Trish, Uncle Tony, Samaiah and Elijah

Hi there, I have to say I like Lauren but if she wants Nina who am I to complain? My son’s name is Isaac who is now 14 but for years as a young child when he would get in trouble and I sent him to his room I would tell him Billy Joe Jim Bob could come down. He soon caught on and when I would punish him he would say “I’m Billy Joe Jim Bob, Isaac is upstairs playing. I will go get him”. He blamed everything on Billy Joe. Now he blames me and mom, go figure. God bless. In Christ, Joe

O where, O where did my little Lauren go???
Will I ever see her again???
(In case you didn’t get it – - those lines were SUNG!!) – as in Opera Day.

Does this mean I have to take the birthday and Christmas presents we bought for Lauren back to the store and shop for our new granddaughter???

And – - will Nina sing for us like Lauren did?????

    O, PLEASE – - bring my little princess back – - – - – - –

    I know – - it is the glasses – - – Lauren didn’t want them but Nina does – - – let’s blame it on the glasses – - – - – I would say get rid of them but they are absolutely ADORABLE – -

    O, well . . . . .

No matter what your name is I still love you. I think both Lauren and Nina are pretty names. And I guess I need to adopt Coconut Grace as my granddaughter since that name sounds just right for a granddaughter of mine (coconut is one of my very favorite things!). And of course grace is a beautiful name which conveys so much meaning.

    Well, Texas Grandma –
You ARE part of the family…so I suppose Samaiah, I mean Coconut Grace, can adopt you as her Texas Grandma… she’d love to have another grandma, especially one that we know is wonderful! Look at how fabulous your daughter turned out!
