Happy 26 Month Birthday to Carmen!
Carmen update: We think she might have a lung infection. Her breathing is more labored and she is drooling out a lot of brown stuff. She still has tons of diarrhea so I hate to put her back on an antibiotic. I will talk to her doctor tomorrow. Also, tomorrow we should be getting a shipment of Neocate formula. Carmen’s pediatrician thinks she needs a formula that is easier to digest since she is having so many digestive problems. Thankfully, it looks like our insurance is going to cover the new, way-more expensive formula.
Happy 26 month birthday to Carmen!!! I am a day late on this but wanted to make sure I posted happy birthday to our sweet little girl! If Carmen makes it 4 more months, we will apply for a Make-A-Wish trip! I sure hope we get to go on a big trip and have some wonderful memories of our family together! (We aren’t in total agreement yet as to where we would go…Dave is still holding out for a “celebrity” meeting with Andy Stanley and Louie Giglio! I have a feeling that Lauren might choose Disney World instead! It’s Carmen’s trip so she will be the deciding vote-ha!)
We are very happy with our new night nurse! She knows her stuff and is very easy to have in our home. This is a huge answer to prayer! We now have 7 nights per week covered and we are much more rested. We are looking for a third nurse to sub in when our two need a break.
We rarely take a picture of just Dave and me together. But, we now have a very willing little budding photographer in our house, so here’s a picture!

Happy 26th Carmen!!! Elise sends an extra special kiss your way and she also recommends the disney trip over a famous person any day. We know that if you have a wish you’ll absolutely love it! We will always cherish the memories of Elise’s wish trip to CA last Dec. We hope Carmen starts to feel better soon…lots of poop is never any fun!
I would not know how to act with one night of nursing care. Just one full night of sleep I would be so energized. You are so lucky to have so much help. Happy 26 month Birthday Carmen!
